History
Casa dos Barros is located in Sabrosa a small village near Vila Real, university city and district town . The house was built in the middle of 18th century and it's architecture it's tipically baroque.The U-shaped three storeyed building includes a private chapel, dedicated to St. Joseph and a lovely garden designed in french style.In the main façade, above the balcony we can see the coat of arms of the family.

Under this balcony stands the main entrance to the building wich leads us to an hall from wich we can go to the library, to the first floor and to the garden.
In the first floor, stand the rooms with beautiful ceilings, elegant pieces of furniture and a large number of paiting family portraits, from the XVIII and XIX centuries.
From the dining room we see a beautiful panoramic view of the hills above the river Douro with the famous vineyards in terraces.
The house remains in the same family since its origin.
